Mayor's Youth Commission
The Mayor's Youth Commission is a forum for young people that gives them a meaningful voice in developing effective solutions to youth issues and problems. Members provide input, leadership, ideas, and recommendations to the most pressing issues and problems facing young people today and generate community awareness of those issues. The Commission also plans the annual Youth Summit, held each spring.
Students attending public or private high school in Charleston County are eligible to apply for the Mayor's Youth Commission and our goal is to have two students from each school represented.
